The HTC One A9 which was released over a year ago has started receiving the android 7.0 Nougat update. This is according to a tweet by HTC tipster and ROM developer, @LlabTooFeR. The update is also expected to feature the latest security update for Android and also include system enhancements.
When you receive the update notification, It's advisable that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network and also have 100% battery life before installing.
The HTC One A9 is a 5-inch amoled display smartphone which is powered by Snapdragon 617 chipset with an octa-core 1.5GHz processor and Adreno 405 GPU. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity which can be further expanded through the sdcard slot.

Aside from the regular improvements that comes with the Android 7.0, this update also features some other new improvements such as an improved version of Doze, which stops apps from running in the background after the phone has been idle for some time. This increases standby time and overall battery life.

The Android 7.0 update also offers the new Unicode 9.0 emoji, and seamless updates. These load in the background while you use your phone, and the next time you boot-up your device you will find the update already installed.
